
Andreas Jung
Andreas Jung is a seasoned software architect and Python developer with nearly 30 years of experience. He specializes in backend development, enterprise architecture, and content management systems, particularly Plone and Zope. His expertise extends to electronic publishing, XML, and PDF technologies.
He holds a degree in Computer Science from Saarland University and has worked in diverse roles, including software developer, team lead, project manager, and consultant across industries such as publishing, energy, and pharmaceuticals. Since 2004, he has been the founder and managing director of ZOPYX Ltd.
Technically, Andreas is highly proficient in Python (since 1993), relational and NoSQL databases, and web technologies. He has extensive experience in CMS platforms like Plone and Alfresco and is deeply involved in open-source communities. He served as a Zope release manager for over a decade and has contributed to numerous Python and Plone add-ons.
Andreas is an active community member, co-organizing EuroPython 2012 and local Python meetups. He has around 150 repositories on GitHub and is a frequent speaker at conferences. His strengths include structured thinking, risk assessment, and project communication.
