Over the past year, Seven has taken shape as the next-generation frontend for Plone. Since the last Plone Conference, its development has been driven forward in several community sprints — Bucharest, Bonn, Mexico City, and Ferrara — where contributors have collaborated to define its architecture and build its core features. Seven is the direct successor to Volto, built on modern web technologies and designed to be faster, more flexible, and easier to extend.

In this talk, we will share the current state of the project, the challenges we have faced along the way, and the roadmap ahead. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of what Seven is, why it matters for the future of Plone, and how they can start contributing today.
